Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist - Travel Position

Trinity Health FirstChoice is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team on a travel assignment in Des Moines, Iowa.

Job Summary:

As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic sonography examinations, maintaining accurate records, and providing technical instruction to students and hospital staff. You will work under the supervision of a radiologist and be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations
  • Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images
  • Use independent judgment during the sonographic exam to accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings
  • Maintain a daily log of patients seen, complete exam verification for billing purposes, and perform related clerical duties as required
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment and work area, and maintain adequate supplies, and monitor outdates
Requirements:
  • ARDMS and BLS certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in ultrasound technology
  • Prefer experience with one or more body parts
