Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dermatology Physician to serve as the Chief of the Dermatology Section at the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing clinical, administrative, and educational leadership to our dermatology team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight to the Dermatology Section, including day-to-day operations, performance evaluations, and clinical documentation.
  • Collaborate with Program Directors and Associate Program Directors to ensure optimal medical education for Fellowship Program, Internal Medicine Residency, and Medical Student Programs.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care and safety.
  • Participate in administrative and quality improvement activities to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Represent the Dermatology Section on various committees and councils to promote collaboration and communication with other departments.
Requirements
  • Must be a board-certified or board-eligible dermatologist with a strong clinical background.
  • Must have experience in leadership and management, with a proven track record of success.
  • Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
