About Our Team

HMR Veterans Services, Inc. is dedicated to providing exceptional care and services to our nation's heroes. We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Nursing Team Lead to join our team at the Ambrosio Guillen State Texas Veterans Home.

About the Role

The Nursing Team Lead will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to our residents and supervising the day-to-day nursing activities of our Nursing Staff and CNAs. This role requires a minimum of a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or a graduate of an approved Registered Nurse program. A current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Texas is also required.

Compensation and Benefits

As a Nursing Team Lead at HMR Veterans Services, Inc., you can expect a competitive salary, with $85,000 - $95,000 per year based on experience. In addition to your salary, you will also receive a generous benefit package that includes 401(k) matching, medical, dental, and vision insurance, employee assistance program, PTO, tuition reimbursement, and free life insurance. Key Qualifications and Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of the Nursing Staff and CNAs.
  • Maintain current knowledge of federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the facility.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to Nursing Staff and CNAs.
