Job Role: Guest Services Representative

Role Summary: The Guest Services Representative is the face of the hotel, ensuring that every guest receives exceptional service throughout their stay. This position involves collaborating with various hotel departments to guarantee a seamless experience for all guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an up-to-date record of room availability, reservations, and assignments.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of the reservations system, including cancellation policies.
  • Familiarize oneself with room types, locations, and pricing.
  • Check in arriving guests and allocate rooms accordingly.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping to update room statuses, including check-outs and special requests.
  • Work with maintenance to address any guest room issues promptly.
  • Utilize effective sales techniques to promote room bookings and hotel services.
  • Stay informed about daily events and activities within the hotel.
  • Report any unusual incidents or guest requests to management.
  • Handle guest complaints professionally and courteously.
  • Process guest check-outs and manage financial transactions accurately.
  • Ensure guest privacy is maintained at all times.
  • Exhibit a high standard of professionalism in appearance and conduct.
  • Participate in departmental meetings as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong communication skills with guests and staff.
  • Knowledge of local attractions and events.
  • Understanding of credit and cash handling procedures.
  • Ability to learn safety and emergency protocols.
  • Proficient in the use of front office technology.
  • Familiarity with proper telephone etiquette.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Employment Type: Full-time

Compensation: Starting at $16.00 per hour
