Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Brand Manager, Global Brand Management to join our Corporate Marketing & Communications team at Pearson. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing our global brand strategy, architecture, and identity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive brand architecture framework that aligns with our business objectives.
  • Collaborate with our agency partners to finalize the new brand architecture framework and ensure its successful rollout across the organization.
  • Pressure test existing work to ensure it meets new leadership priorities and finalize product families to meet the needs of our Pearson portfolio.
  • Categorize our portfolio of offerings based on changes required to meet the new brand architecture framework and define a naming approach and system.
  • Socialize the new brand architecture with divisions, painting the vision and articulating how the new framework will impact their portfolio.
  • Run workshops to deep dive into prioritized businesses as part of our overall brand rollout, identifying migrations needed and developing tools for evaluating brand equity in existing brands.
  • Monitor progress of the rollout and report to senior leadership.
Requirements:
  • 5-8 years of experience in brand/marketing, with a focus on brand architecture and strategy.
  • Experience in building, executing, and managing a brand architecture is a must.
  • Highly creative with the ability to think outside the box and develop innovative solutions.
  • Proven ability to develop brand and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to management.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
  • Experience managing agency relationships and advanced communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and marketing best practices.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to influence outcomes with persuasiveness and candor.
  • Able to operate in a global environment and demonstrate international cultural agility.
  • A track record of achievement, translating complex strategies into actionable plans.
  • Demonstrated record of driving change and influencing an organization.
