We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team at YAI. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their daily routines
  • Encourage and facilitate participation in recreational activities and community outings
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid Driver's License, NY State preferred
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred
  • Ability to participate in paid NYS Mandated OPWDD initial trainings
  • Tuberculosis test mandatory
