Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and process specimens for microscopical examination, including staining, coverslipping, and tracking specimens between labs.
- Uniquely and positively identify specimens and patients, using automated equipment for liquid-based processing.
- Assist pathologists with patients during the procurement and preparation of needle aspiration specimens.
- Perform QC functions to detect errors and ensure accurate results.
- Use safe infection control procedures to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- High school graduate or equivalent with coursework in biology, chemistry, and math.
- 1-2 years of experience in a laboratory environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
