  • This role is based at our 473-bed teaching hospital, which serves as a premier tertiary care center, supported by our LIFE STAR air ambulance service.

Position Highlights:

  • Ideal candidates will possess board certification in General Surgery and fellowship training in colorectal surgery, with a focus on robotic techniques.
  • The successful surgeon will deliver surgical consultations and care for patients with a range of colorectal conditions, including complex anorectal disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, and cancer management.
  • A minimum of seven years of clinical experience in colorectal surgery is required, along with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Commitment to fostering teamwork and engaging in strategic growth initiatives is essential for this role.
  • This position includes responsibilities for teaching and mentoring surgical trainees at all levels.
  • Involvement in quality assurance, safety protocols, and educational activities for staff is expected, along with participation in relevant committees.
  • Availability for on-call duties to support the acute care surgery team in managing complex colorectal emergencies is necessary.
  • Engagement in the educational and administrative functions of our Digestive Health Institute is part of the role.
