About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Detective to join our team at Maricopa County, AZ. As a Detective, you will be responsible for conducting investigations, gathering evidence, and interviewing witnesses to solve complex criminal cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough investigations, including interviews, surveillance, and evidence collection
  • Develop and maintain relationships with witnesses, victims, and other stakeholders
  • Collaborate with prosecutors and other law enforcement agencies to build cases and secure convictions
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest investigative techniques and technologies

Requirements
  • Five years of full-time law enforcement experience, including two years in a plain clothes investigative assignment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification as a full authority Peace Officer by the State of Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training Board (AZ POST)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in investigating complex criminal cases
  • Training and certifications in investigative techniques and technologies
  • Bilingual skills in English/Spanish
