Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Technician to join our team at Multivac. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for disassembling, assembling, testing, and transporting tooling, machine sub-assemblies, and machines and equipment in need of remanufacture or new assembly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute the manufacturing production schedule and fulfill order requirements of quality work at the agreed-upon due date.
  • Assemble and install physical components into quality assemblies, which may or may not have written assembly instructions.
  • Process orders in SAP for releasing, printing, confirming, and inventory movements for all production orders, service orders, and projects assigned.
  • Apply non-stick coating to different aluminum parts as required.
  • Adhere to established work schedules, order priorities, and practice efficient time management to achieve detailed schedule goals.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and diagnostics of equipment.
  • Confirm the form/fit and function of the project and perform early risk analysis to determine if the BOM/components appear complete as needed.
  • Recommend changes as needed to the configuration of production items and perform modifications when approved by the supervisor.
  • Perform work to correct standards of performance, alignment, seals, tensioning, attaching, marking, testing, safety, documentation, and component integrity.
  • Confirm assigned work is prepared for customer shipment by confirming all required components are present and accounted for.
  • Document outbound items by photographing prior to transfer.
  • Confirm documents verifying quality assurance, performance testing, settings, risk areas, exceptions are filled out, sent to the proper contacts, and filed for future reference.
  • Inform the supervisor in advance of needed in/out movement of machines or product.
  • Provide up-front detail information to the supervisor associated with machines scheduled for shipment.
  • Provide item identification of removed items needing storage or disposal.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Implement management directives associated with policies, goals, and procedures.
  • Perform additional production activities as required by the supervisor.
Requirements
  • High school diploma and one year of field service, packaging, maintenance, manufacturing, or related experience.
  • Mid-level working skill knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and machine shop activities.
  • Mechanical and engineering aptitude.
  • Ability to respond and adjust to high-stress environments and maintain professionalism in dealing with coworkers.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work in a team and individual environment, motivation to achieve success, and ability to meet customer deadlines in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities.
  • History of successful customer service experience is a plus.
Language and Math Skills
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to communicate in a team environment.
  • Ability to interpret and discuss general documents such as dimensional machine layouts, component drawings, written procedures, and product information.
  • Speed and feed calculations, Metric and Standard calculations, basic and advanced measuring techniques, ability to calculate dimensions, percentages, area, and volume.
Computer Skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, inventory software, manufacturing software, and ERP systems.
  • CAD/CAM system experience is a plus.
  • Manufacturing experience with SAP is a plus.
