Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in preparing radiopharmaceutical agents and administering them to patients prior to using a scanner or camera to capture images.

About the Job

This is a travel assignment opportunity in Columbus, Ohio, with a 13-week duration. You will work 40 hours per week, with 8-hour shifts, and will be responsible for providing technical support to physicians and researchers.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare radiopharmaceutical agents for administration to patients
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients under the direct supervision of a radiologist
  • Operate the scanner or gamma scintillation camera
  • Provide assistance to patients during procedures
  • Ensure a safe environment for patients and staff by following safety and radiation disposal procedures
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • BLS certification
  • NMT National certification from the AART or NMTCB
  • State-specific licensing when required
