Job Title: Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

Job Summary:

TotalMed Allied is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team for a travel assignment in a dynamic healthcare setting. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for operating imaging equipment, preparing patients for procedures, and maintaining a safe and efficient imaging environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate imaging equipment, such as CT scanners and X-ray machines, to produce high-quality diagnostic images
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the process, positioning patients, and ensuring patient comfort and safety
  • Maintain a clean and organized imaging environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and techniques, participating in ongoing education and training

Requirements:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field
  • Current certification as a Registered Technologist (RT) in Radiography or a related modality
  • 1-2 years of experience in diagnostic imaging, preferably in a travel or per-diem setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift and move patients, as well as stand for long periods
