Parkside Hospital is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our patients, staff, and guests.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular patrols of the hospital grounds and common areas to identify and address potential security risks.
- Monitor activities on the hospital's security camera system and respond to any incidents or concerns.
- Report safety and security issues to management and work with other departments to resolve them.
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to calls for assistance from staff and guests.
- Respond to emergency situations and take appropriate action to ensure the safety and security of everyone on campus.
- Work with local law enforcement and other first responders as needed.
- Enforce parking restrictions and work with other departments on routine safety activities.
- Prepare incident reports and complete daily activity reports to ensure department communication.
- CLEET Unarmed Security Officer License required; Certification can be obtained within 90 days of employment if training is in progress.
- A valid Oklahoma driver's license is required.
- High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to respond appropriately and use verbal warning; de-escalate sensitive situations.
- Security experience in a public setting is desired; past experience working with the public is essential.
- Basic computer skills: email, document preparation, and the Internet.
- Basic report writing skills - ability to complete reports that convey facts and findings.
- Available to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Minimum 21 years of age and able to pass criminal background and other screening.
