Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze project specifications, data from site evaluations, engineering drawings, and technical documents to formulate cost estimates.
- Assess engineering data and project requirements to deliver precise and competitive estimates.

- Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical services, including installations, repairs, maintenance, and upgrades, accounting for labor, materials, and equipment.
- Draft comprehensive and competitive bids and service proposals for clients, clearly defining the scope of work, costs, and terms.
- Plan and estimate resource allocation, including manpower and equipment, to ensure efficient delivery of electrical services.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and quality materials.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options, recommending adjustments to maintain quality while reducing expenses.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and sales teams to ensure accurate project scopes and address any arising issues.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on current pricing trends for materials and labor, integrating this information into cost estimates.
- Establish and uphold estimating standards and procedures to guarantee consistency and reliability in all service estimates.
Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, installation procedures, maintenance, and repair techniques.
- Familiarity with cost estimation methodologies, including labor, material, and equipment cost calculations.
- Capability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate data and project requirements for accurate estimates.
- Meticulous attention to detail in reviewing specifications, preparing estimates, and drafting proposals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective bid preparation, supplier negotiations, and team collaboration.
- Ability to negotiate with vendors and subcontractors for competitive pricing and quality materials.
- Problem-solving skills to address issues related to cost estimation, including recommending cost-saving measures.
- Willingness to conduct site evaluations to assess conditions and verify service requirements.
- Knowledge of local, national, and industry-specific codes and standards affecting electrical work.
Education and Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience as an electrical estimator or in a similar capacity within the electrical engineering or construction sector.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel, with strong mathematical and analytical skills; comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to engage effectively with clients, vendors, and team members.
- High accuracy and attention to detail in estimating and reporting.
