Job Title: 21st Century Tutor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced 21st Century Tutor to join our team at the YMCA of the Twin Tiers. As a 21st Century Tutor, you will play a critical role in supporting the academic success and growth of our students. You will work closely with our Program Director and Site Supervisor/Coordinator to ensure that our students receive the highest quality education and support.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide academic support and tutoring to students in a variety of subjects, including homework help, test preparation, and research assistance.
2. Assist students with developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and encourage a growth mindset towards learning.
3. Work with the Program Director and Site Supervisor/Coordinator to implement curriculum and instructional strategies that meet the needs of our students.
4. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to students, parents, and teachers as needed.
5. Attend regular meetings with the Program Director and Site Supervisor/Coordinator to discuss student progress and program goals.
6. Supervise and maintain the appearance of the site, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for students.
7. Perform light maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and organization, to ensure a high-quality learning environment.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual who is passionate about education and working with students. The ideal candidate will have:

A high school diploma or equivalent, with a college background preferred.Proven experience as a tutor or in a similar role.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and teachers.A commitment to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.
