Focus Staff is seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to fill a travel position in New York.
Job Overview
Responsibilities:
- Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Under the direction of the Chief of Radiology and the Imaging Services Director, perform related technological functions to ensure optimal diagnostic quality of patient care.
- Interview patients to explain MRI procedures and address their concerns.
- Ensure patient and staff safety by explaining safety protocols and monitoring patients via closed-circuit TV.
- Orient new hires and train MRI Technologists, students, and trainees.
Requirements:
- Two years of continuous recent experience as a MRI Technologist and be fully proficient in all duties required of a MRI Technologist II.
- License in required state.
- BLS.
- Fully proficient in MRI and have knowledge of required protocols in performing complex MRI procedures.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Ability to learn applications relevant to the position.
Work Experience:
At least 2 years of experience.
