Job Description

At Joint Strategic Technologies (JST), we're seeking a skilled Test Evaluation Engineer to join our team. This full-time position is based at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, NM, and offers a comprehensive benefit package, a collaborative work environment, and a strong company culture.


In support of the Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC) contract, you'll be part of our team's efforts to empower the Department of Defense's navigation warfare (NAVWAR) mission, ensuring positioning, navigation, and timing superiority. Our mission is to provide combatant commanders and joint force commanders with subject matter expertise on planning and conducting NAVWAR by providing knowledge of friendly and enemy NAVWAR Order of Battle and PNT-related successes and threats.


Responsibilities
  • You'll be responsible for determining the optimal approach to testing complex products or solutions to ensure compliance with applicable specifications. This includes identifying and recommending product or solution characteristics that optimize their ability to be tested or to provide test data for diagnostic purposes.
  • You'll combine customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • You'll develop and direct the preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for completing systems. You'll coordinate integrated testing activities.
  • You'll review and evaluate test requirements to ensure the completeness of the test program.
  • You'll perform technical analysis of complete systems and prepare comprehensive system-level evaluations.
  • You'll be responsible for continuous enhancement and engineering support to the Joint Navigation Warfare Center.
  • You'll develop, create, and execute software test plans; be responsible for hardware configuration management; perform requirements analysis; perform system designs; maintain system configuration, and perform equipment and software installations.
  • You'll develop implementation plans, software, and documentation. In addition, you'll write, rewrite, and/or edit other technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related technical publications to communicate clearly and effectively technical specifications, instructions, management documentation to a wide range of audiences.
  • You'll understand how to generate NAVWAR RF testing environments in accordance with laws, policy, and predefined test parameters.
  • You'll work as a member of a small specialized technical team, performing full life-cycle system development support in a rapid development/rapid fielding environment.
  • You'll acquire subject knowledge by interviewing product developers, observing performance of production methods, referring to technical specifications, blueprints, engineering illustrations, and trade journals.
  • You'll provide configuration management support of technical documentation.
  • You'll work closely with Government Systems personnel and managers on various projects.

Qualifications
  • 12 years of relevant experience.
  • PhD in engineering, computer science, information technology, systems engineering, math, statistics, or a related field.
  • Current Secret clearance.

Desired Qualifications
  • Quality Engineer Certification (CQE) or other equivalent.

Required Clearances and Screenings
  • MUST have an active Secret security clearance.
  • MUST be able to pass a US Government Security Clearance.
