Job Duties:
HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
Operates boom cranes with standard boom lengths and angles for loads well within the lifting capacity of the cranes.
Loads and unloads crates, lumber, machinery, roofing materials, or equipment at worksites or outdoor storage areas.
Observes load hookup and assesses safety of load.
Manipulates or depresses crane controls, such as pedals, levers, and buttons, to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions.
Maintains cleanliness and functionality of crane and hoisting mechanisms.Inspects crane for defective parts and informs supervisor of defects or malfunctions.
Adjustments must be made by the operator for changes in the lifting capacity of the cranes caused by variations in the angle of the boom, length of the boom position, revolving frame, or slope of the terrain.
Operates crane while wearing a hard hat at all times.
Adheres to OSHA standards, safety guidelines, and DOT regulations.
Keeps vehicles clean and organized.
Shall be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of any equipment within his/her responsibility.
During downtime, roofing responsibilities will be required.Job Duties:
TRUCK DRIVER
Must maintain at least a Class B CDL.
Inspects truck for defective parts and informs supervisor of defects, malfunctions, or regular maintenance needs.
Keeps vehicles clean and organized.
Shall be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of any equipment within his/her responsibility.
Requirements:Must be 18 years of age or older.
Valid Driver's License with no restrictions (Class B CDL).
Ability to pass pre-hire physical and drug screening.
Fluent in English.
Good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination required.
Ability to reach, lift, and maneuver objects of various weights, shapes, and sizes.
Mental alertness is required to ensure accurate completion of work activities.
Follows company policies and procedures as well as applicable State and Federal laws.
Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, climb ladders, bend, stoop, twist, turn, and reach frequently.
Must be comfortable working in environments more than 6 feet off the ground.
Must carry out duties in varying outdoor climate conditions for extended periods.
Must complete all DOT required reporting and maintain records.
Shall be familiar with emergency duties.
NCCCO certification (if not, training will be provided).
During downtime, roofing responsibilities will be required.
Skills:
Ability and willingness to collaborate with roofing crews and sheet metal shop when not operating equipment.
Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is beneficial.
Must be professional, respectful, and maintain composure with customers and co-workers.
Ability to listen, follow instructions, and learn new tasks.
Task-oriented and dependable.
Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize.
Team-oriented with the ability to excel in a collaborative environment.
