The Region Sales Manager for the Ohio Valley Territory will work under the general direction of the Area General Sales Manager. This role involves establishing ourselves and McWane Plumbing Group in the cast iron and coupling market by directing, maintaining, and growing our contractor and distributor base. By building meaningful business relationships with industry contractors, wholesalers, and distributors, the sales professional will gather important market information and provide quality customer service in support of sales, profitability goals, and technical issues for the assigned territory.

This role requires representing McWane Plumbing Group and AB&I Foundry in a moral, ethical, and positive manner. You will effectively manage time and budgets to meet the needs of the Northeast Territory and surrounding areas. Establishing a strong presence in the territory to gather and provide market insights, including estimated total market tons, distribution tons, McWane's manufacturing representatives, and competitor analysis, is essential. Collaboration with Manufacturer Representative agencies where applicable is also required. Maintaining knowledge of all distributors, independent owners, and regional and national companies within the territory is crucial. Tracking and understanding contractors' current jobs and activity within the territory is necessary. Administrative duties include submitting weekly reports to the Area General Sales Manager, preparing timely and accurate expense reports, and drafting written proposals for events and trade shows. Setting and monitoring progress on goals, strategies for the next 120 days, and tonnage updates is required. Building and maintaining relationships with all entities involved in commerce, including distributors, contractors, and other stakeholders, to influence sales, gather information, and provide market details, is key to success. These relationships are defined as personal connections between all entities that engage in commerce.

You will be responsible for collaborating with our team to build and maintain a strong presence in the Ohio Valley Territory. To succeed in this role, you must have at least five years of industry experience and a minimum of five years of sales experience. A strong driving record is also required due to frequent travel throughout the territory and other national locations. Strong technical, verbal, written, and presentation skills are essential for communicating with various stakeholders. Your annual salary will be around $80,000, based on your qualifications and experience. However, this may vary depending on your background and performance.
