Job Summary

BKM Capital Partners is a dynamic and growing firm seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst to join our Acquisitions team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the investment transaction process, including deal sourcing, market analysis, financial analysis, due diligence, and internal investment reviews.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis and underwriting for potential acquisition opportunities, utilizing Excel and Argus Enterprise to prepare cash flow models that assist in the valuation process.
  • Transaction Execution: Assist with the preparation of investment committee memoranda for recommended acquisition and disposition opportunities, and draft LOIs, abstracting leases, reviewing estoppels, and other due diligence materials.
  • Market Analysis: Perform market research using CoStar and internal resources to create competitive sets and sale comp sets that will be utilized during the acquisition process to fine-tune underwriting assumptions.
  • Pipeline Management: Track potential acquisition opportunities by ensuring that BKM's proprietary software, BKMIntel, is updated with deals currently being evaluated, and prepare for weekly pipeline meetings to present opportunities to the acquisition team.
  • Ad-Hoc Tasks: Serve as a resource for other BKM departments, helping to answer questions relating to prior acquisitions and assets in the disposition pipeline.
  • BKMIntel: Ensure BKMIntel is updated with the latest sale comps and perform a quarterly competitive set update, working alongside the acquisition team to finalize the format and design for BKMIntel.
  • Market Sourcing: Network and collect information from the market, including sourcing from national and local brokers on a weekly basis.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of heavy Argus and Excel experience required.
  • 3+ years' experience in an analytical role in commercial real estate, preferably industrial (residential excluded).
  • Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, economics, or other business discipline.
  • Experience with real estate analysis tools, including CoStar.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel (5-10%) within the western region.
