  • Adhere to the established classroom schedule to create a consistent routine for the children.

  • Work autonomously as well as in collaboration with fellow educators.
  • Foster a cooperative team atmosphere and engage positively with colleagues.
  • Ensure constant supervision of children, preventing any instances of isolation.
  • Comply with ratio and licensing regulations.
  • Engage in physical activities such as bending, squatting, and climbing as part of daily tasks.
  • Regularly kneel, stoop, bend, and sit on the floor or in small seating arrangements.
  • Perform light lifting, occasionally up to 50 lbs.
  • Sanitize educational materials and equipment as necessary.
  • Assist with meal service when required.
  • Support the general upkeep and security of the facility.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and immediately address any safety concerns.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as needed to support organizational objectives, including maintaining reliable attendance and following workplace behavior standards.

Qualifications:

  • Must be registered in Oregon's Central Background Registry.
  • Possess 20 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units, or 10 ECE units combined with 6 months of experience in a certified center, or have 1 year of experience in a certified center, or be at Step 8 or higher in the Oregon Registry.
  • Within the first month of employment, obtain a Food Handler's Card, CPR/First Aid certification for infants and adults, and complete a course on Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect.
  • Complete an Introduction to Child Care Health and Safety course.
