Staff Accountant Opportunity

Astra Service Partners is seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team. As a critical member of our accounting functions, you will be responsible for processing daily accounting activities, ensuring timely and accurate transactional records, and meeting regular deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process weekly cash transactions and maintain accurate records
  • Lead the processing and coding of accounts payable, ensuring timely payment of invoices
  • Verify payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and record prepaid expenses and fixed assets
  • Communicate and administer management fees and expense allocations to subsidiary companies
  • Assist with intercompany transactions, expense reimbursement, and payroll
  • Roll forward and maintain monthly reconciliations and lead schedules
  • Prepare journal entries pertaining to month-end close and assist with treasury and consolidated tax returns
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • 1-2 years of related experience
  • Ability to work efficiently remotely
  • Understanding of US GAAP principles
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong software and Excel background
  • Ability to travel as needed (approximately 5%)
