Job Title: Sanitarian III - Milk Operations Branch Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Sanitarian III to join our team in the Milk Operations Branch. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing, planning, organizing, and coordinating Grade A Milk Operations program activities.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversees the milk and dairy inspections, milk and dairy sampling, and conducts enforcement and sanitation ratings for all IMS Grade A Milk facilities
* Maintains FDA Certification as a State Rating Officer
* Recommends and promotes milk and dairy sanitation improvements
* Develops educational and training materials related to the milk and dairy program for inspectors and industry
* Conducts trainings for the milk and dairy program in providing industry and internal milk inspection trainings

Requirements:

* Extensive knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations concerning the regulation of milk and dairy products
* Skill in interpretation of highly technical federal regulations
* Ability to analyze and evaluate regulatory requirements for emerging and complex technologies
* Ability to prepare concise reports and to organize and express ideas effectively in writing
* Ability to make decisions and establish and maintain sound interpersonal relationships with staff members and the public

Working Conditions:

* This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
* The position may require travel to various locations throughout the state

Education and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as environmental health, public health, or a related field
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field, such as milk and dairy sanitation, environmental health, or a related field
