The incumbent will be responsible for administering Medical Oncology and infusion therapies, while also educating patients about their treatment options, ensuring a continuity of evidence-based nursing care.


Key Responsibilities:

As an Oncology Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing the health and nursing needs of patients and their families.
  • Implementing appropriate care strategies for effective treatment.
  • Administering chemotherapy and other infusion therapies.
  • Providing education and support to patients regarding their treatment plans.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate should have:

  • An Associate's Degree in Nursing with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in acute care or ambulatory care settings, including two (2) years of oncology nursing experience.
  • Hands-on experience with various infusion therapy methods, including peripheral lines, PICCs, and implanted ports.

Certifications:

Current certifications required include:

  • BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate Provider Card.
  • Oncology Certified Nurse certification from the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC).

Work Environment:

This position offers flexible shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends. The role requires compliance with all labor laws and regulations.


Additional Information:

Minimum guaranteed hours are 36 per week, with a contract length ranging from 8 to 16 weeks. The hourly rate encompasses all associated costs, and no additional compensation will be provided for overtime or holiday work.
