Job Summary:
As a CT Technologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will operate CT scanners and other radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images of the human body. You will utilize your technical judgment and skills to ensure that produced images are of the highest diagnostic quality. Your role will involve performing computed tomographic imaging, assisting physicians during minor surgical procedures, and following infection control procedures. You will also be responsible for observing and monitoring patient conditions during and after procedures, and for transporting patients to and from the procedure area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate CT scanners and other radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images of the human body.
  • Perform computed tomographic imaging and assist physicians during minor surgical procedures.
  • Follow infection control procedures and observe and monitor patient conditions during and after procedures.
  • Transport patients to and from the procedure area and assist physicians with fluoroscopic examinations.
  • Process digital or film images and make prints, if applicable.
  • Perform radiation safety monitoring and record pertinent patient information.
  • Review patient charts to identify significant patient conditions and compile pertinent Quality Assurance data.
  • Operate radiographic, fluoroscopic, and portable x-ray equipment and arrange for repair of imaging equipment.

Requirements:
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist - Diagnostic Radiologic Technology Certificate (California) OR Radiologic Technologist Certificate (California)
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist - Venipuncture Certificate (California)
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist - Fluoroscopy Certificate (California)
  • Radiologic Technologist Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Basic Life Support

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advance Certificate in CT (ARRT)
