Key Responsibilities:

  • Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests to ensure accurate and safe imaging procedures.
  • Position patients correctly for scanning, taking into account their comfort and safety.
  • Operate computerized tomography equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues.
  • Evaluate CT scans to determine their technical quality and accuracy.
  • Follow safety procedures when working with radiation to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Understand and utilize the McKesson PACS system to manage and store medical images.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist.
  • Active BLS certification.
  • ARRT National certification with registration in computed tomography.
  • State-specific licensing when required.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist.
  • Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
