Job Title: Certified Medication Assistant - Patient Care Specialist

At Avamere Health Services, we are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medication Assistant to join our team at Richmond Beach Rehab. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of our residents. We offer a competitive salary range of $34,500-$42,000 per year, depending on experience.

About the Role:
In this position, you will assist in the administration of medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician, under the direction of the attending physician, nurse supervisor or charge nurse, and Director of Health Services. Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Administering medications to residents as ordered and under the direction of the attending physician
  • Preparing, administering, and documenting oral and/or topical medications ordered for a resident
  • Completing necessary forms, charts, and reports in a timely manner
  • Ensuring all medications administered are properly labeled, returned, and reordered

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
  • A state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course and exam certification
  • A licensed Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification in this state
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of common medical abbreviations, symbols, and terms for medication administration
