Key Responsibilities- Project Leadership: Provide on-site leadership and direction to project teams, ensuring they meet project goals, adhere to responsibilities, and project milestones.
- Safety Management: Lead and enforce safety policies and procedures, addressing non-compliance among employees, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Quality Management: Execute the project using the Quality Management System, recognizing potential patterns of rework and developing solutions to eliminate them.
- Project Execution: Perform or oversee fundamental project management practices, including construction progress tracking, progress and financial forecasting, document management, problem-solving, dispute resolution, design troubleshooting, and value engineering.
- Subcontractor Management: Set, communicate, and enforce production goals and schedules with subcontractors.
- Schedule Development: Lead the development of the project schedule with the Project Manager, ensuring the team executes to the plan, and develops a derivative four-week lookahead schedule to facilitate daily progress.
- Cost Management: Accurately develop the Four Week Look Ahead schedule weekly and adhere to the schedule, working to beat the project cost budget, and implementing effective cost controls over subcontractors, material, equipment, and other related expenditures.
- Training and Development: Train the Project Team on planning, surveying, plan reading, productivity, efficiency, economical crew size, quality workmanship, and safety to ensure projects are constructed expeditiously and profitably.
- Communication: Utilize daily huddles to promote communication, resolve issues, and share ideas, ensuring projects are constructed expeditiously and profitably.
- Reporting and Compliance:
- Reporting and Compliance: Review all Foremen's and Daily Reports, as well as Subcontractor's Daily Reports, for accurate hours, time coding, production quantities, and activity summaries.
- Contract Management: Know the key terms and conditions of the Prime Contract with the Owner, identifying and communicating deviations accordingly.
- Subcontract Management: Know the key operational details of the subcontract and hold subcontractors accountable to their agreement and the company's standards.
- 4+ years of relevant construction industry experience, with progressively greater responsibility.
- 4+ years overseeing self-perform work with several crews totaling 20 craft persons and equipment operators or more, prior experience as a Foreman and/or Master Electrical License a plus.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to lead a diverse group of individuals.
- Successfully led relatively complex construction projects with diverse scopes and aggressive timelines.
- Superb customer service skills and proven ability to mitigate difficult client relations.
- Expert knowledge of various areas of construction (electrical, earthwork, utilities, structures, mechanical, etc.).
- Expert knowledge of OSHA Safety regulations.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, leadership, people skills, and solid time management skills are a must.
- Working Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, P3/P6 Primavera software.
- Ability to travel and/or temporarily relocate to project construction sites every 3-12 months throughout your region of the United States.
- Minimum of High School diploma or GED required.
