Job Title: Hardware Design Engineer

Actalent is seeking a skilled Hardware Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced multi-function RF, processing, and/or data storage units for space applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead a diverse engineering team in the development of complex electronics and systems for space applications.
  • Perform system design activities, including requirements development, system architecture, verification and validation planning, and integration and test.
  • Be responsible for the end-to-end technical execution for engineering development efforts, requiring multidiscipline knowledge in systems design, hardware, software/firmware, and integration and test.
  • Collaborate with program management on one or more programs to execute cost, schedule, and risk management.
  • Oversee engineering program planning and execution, working with engineering discipline leads to assign appropriate staff to their projects, and interacting with program managers and divisional leadership to run a successful program.
  • Own the engineering development process on the program, ensuring proper systems analysis and trades, technical baseline management, and requirements verification and validation activities are completed.
  • Prepare for and present at all major design reviews, including internal and external (customer) reviews.
Requirements:
  • Technical depth in hardware design on high-reliability, complex electronics/products.
  • Ability to work with multi-disciplinary engineering groups.
  • Systems engineering methodology.
