The Orchard is seeking a proactive Finance Operations Manager to enhance our Finance team.
The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in finance roles, particularly in month-end closing processes, ideally within a global publicly traded company. Experience with a Big Four accounting firm is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the month-end closing activities by reviewing journal entries created by the offshore team and Senior Accountant, while also preparing necessary journal entries in SAP for both domestic and international entities.
- Maintain various balance sheet reconciliations and schedules, and conduct thorough analyses of account movements.
- Evaluate monthly financial outcomes for multiple entities/business units, investigating any significant or unusual transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports for group consolidation.
- Collaborate with external and internal auditors on local statutory audits, company-wide audits, business process evaluations, and SOX compliance reviews.
- Engage in integration projects by assessing current processes and controls, contributing to the design and implementation of new procedures.
- Review and authorize purchase requisitions and vendor invoices, as well as expense reports in line with company policies.
- Participate in special projects, including system integrations and implementations.
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and have over 5 years of relevant accounting experience. A CPA designation is a plus.
Essential skills include:
- Proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, vlookups).
- Familiarity with SAP, BPC, and Looker is advantageous.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- A collaborative team player with a proactive approach to learning and development.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
This role requires an in-office presence four days a week to foster collaboration and effective communication.
