About the Role

Gpac is seeking a skilled Plaintiff-Side Union Labor Attorney to join our team of experienced attorneys dedicated to advocating for workers' rights and championing fair labor practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent labor unions and employees in various labor and employment-related disputes, including collective bargaining, contract negotiations, labor disputes, and employment discrimination.
  • Advise and counsel union representatives and employees on legal rights and strategies related to labor law and employment matters.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including complaints, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on current labor laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with clients and other legal professionals to develop and execute legal strategies.
  • Advocate for clients in hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and professional service.
Requirements
  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in AL.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor law, with a focus on representing unions and employees.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state labor laws, including the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) and related regulations.
  • Proven track record of handling complex labor disputes and employment cases.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with public sector labor law and union representation.
  • Familiarity with grievance and arbitration procedures.
  • Previous experience in a plaintiff-side labor law firm or similar setting.
