About the Role

KMEA, a leading environmental, energy, engineering, and sustainability (E3S) consulting company, is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector Manager to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for overseeing construction projects across various disciplines, including civil and electrical power distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Construction Inspection and Oversight: Perform Title II construction inspection and oversight to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Design Review and Quality Assurance: Provide design review and suggestions for correcting errors to ensure high-quality project delivery.
  • Material and Equipment Review: Review material, equipment, and commissioning submittals to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Contractor Support: Support construction contractors with Requests-For-Information and provide technical guidance as needed.
  • Critical Issue Notification: Notify the Contracting Officer (CO) and COR of critical issues that may affect contract performance and/or human health and the environment.
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow company safety standards and site safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Company Policies: Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Provide photographs and maintain a daily log of construction activities.
Requirements
  • Education: Must have a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of five years' experience in construction practices, procedures, and testing, including at least three years of quality control management of DoD construction infrastructure projects.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledgeable in computer word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs. Familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), PowerPoint, and AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Clearance: Must be approved by Air Force prior to hire and have the necessary clearance to work on a DoD installation.
  • Communication Skills: Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Team Player: Must be an organized, motivated, and detail-oriented team player.
  • Background Check: Must pass a pre-employment drug test, MVR check, and federal government background check.
  • Eligibility: Must prove eligibility to work in the US and provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
