Position Title: Building Automation Training Specialist

Role Summary:

This entry-level role serves as the primary contact for delivering training on building automation control projects.

  • Conduct training sessions for clients on new constructions, retrofits, and service agreements, as well as onboarding new employees at Uhl Company. Training will typically cover the web browser interface and relevant software.
  • Notify the project team of any outstanding tasks, necessary corrections, or potential modifications to the system identified during training.
  • Facilitate the initial onboarding of new technicians regarding essential software applications and operational requirements.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Sales department to update them on training schedules and identify potential sales or service opportunities.
  • Develop and update training procedures for various training types, including maintaining customer site IP address lists and technical documentation.
  • Keep a record of all computers and software sold to clients, ensuring they receive the necessary documentation.
  • Exhibit the ability to manage stress while maintaining a friendly and cooperative demeanor with both internal and external clients.
  • Demonstrate effective time management skills to meet project deadlines and assess urgency.
  • Consistently adhere to Uhl Company's established safety protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong focus on customer service and relationship building.
  • Two years of relevant experience in customer service, purchasing, or a combination of education and experience.
  • High organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in response to changing circumstances.
  • Ability to collaborate well with others, even in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficiency in standard office software, including MS Office 365.
  • Familiarity with the industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable presenting in front of large groups.
  • Experience in IT, Technical, and HVAC Systems is a significant advantage but not required.
