Job Summary

Abundant Solutions is seeking an experienced Industrial Painter and Surface Finisher to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for preparing and painting various industrial products using a range of techniques and materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and follow work orders or instructions from supervisors to prepare for painting tasks.
  • Select and mix paints to match specified colors, and clean and prepare surfaces for painting.
  • Apply masking tape and paper to protect surfaces during painting, and spread drop cloths to prevent damage.
  • Pour coating liquid into spray containers and connect guns to air hoses to regulate spray width and pressure.
  • Install specified nozzles in spray guns and replace screens and filters as needed.
  • Clean spraying equipment and brushes with solvents, and load and move materials to work and drying areas using industrial forklifts or overhead cranes.
Requirements
  • Maintain accurate production records of parts and jobs fabricated as required by the Department Manager.
  • Set up ladders to perform tasks above ground level, and abrade surfaces of metal or hard composition objects to remove scale, sand, paint, grease, tar, rust, and dirt.
  • Shovel or pour abrasives into machine hoppers, and mask specified areas of objects to protect from abrading action.
  • Load parts on racks or in enclosed rooms manually or using industrial forklifts or overhead cranes.
  • Turn valves on equipment to regulate pressure and composition of abrasive mixtures flowing through nozzles.
  • Start equipment that directs blast or flow of abrasive-laden compressed air or gas over surfaces of parts.
  • Examine finished parts to ensure conformance to specifications.
Qualifications
  • Minimum five years of related experience required, with the ability to pass a pulmonary test.
Working Hours and Pay

Ideal working hours are 6 AM – 2:30 PM and 5 PM-1:30 AM, with overtime available depending on production needs. Pay is $19+ per hour, depending on experience.
