Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Critical Environment Electrical Engineer to join our team at Microsoft Corporation. As a key member of our Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) team, you will play a critical role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for our cloud services.

Responsibilities
  • Perform key roles in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services, including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform.
  • Work with commissioning teams to properly test and validate installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems.
  • Understand the design and functionality of data centers and support 24x7x365 on-site data centers operations and electrical infrastructure.
  • Act as the technical authority for on-site operations related to large-scale mission-critical electrical systems, design, and functionality.
  • Establish and coordinate maintenance and safety procedures, maintaining highly redundant electrical designs.
  • Manage the electrical infrastructures throughout data center campuses, ranging from single large capacity facilities to several smaller ones.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of technical engineering experience, or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of technical engineering experience, or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of technical engineering experience.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
  • Preferred qualifications include 4+ years of mission-critical services work/applied learning experience, fundamental understanding of the International Mechanical Code and Uniform/International Plumbing Codes, Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent experience, and demonstrated experience with critical data center critical environment equipment.

We offer a competitive salary range of USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year, with a different range applicable to specific work locations. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
