Construction Coordinator Job Description

Sonic Internet + Phone is seeking a skilled Construction Coordinator to join our team. As a Construction Coordinator, you will play a critical role in coordinating construction efforts for new construction and rebuild projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate construction efforts through in-house and contract labor for new construction and rebuild projects.
  • Supervise, evaluate, and report on subcontracting and in-house personnel's performance.
  • Provide field constructability reviews and corrections to engineering plans.
  • Coordinate with engineers and project management in designing revisions to plant.
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to terms and conditions of agreements.
  • Perform site inspections for quality control.
  • Coordinate permitting, make-ready process, and cable placement.
  • Manage relationships between contractors, crews, city officials, and Sonic.
Requirements:
  • 3 years of telecommunications technical experience.
  • Ability to problem-solve technical situations.
  • Strong basic computer skills with Microsoft Office, Excel, Google Sheets.
  • Clean DMV record and background check required.
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code and G.O. 95.
  • Ability to prioritize competing tasks with deadlines.
  • Extreme organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner.
  • Ability to supervise and motivate others.
  • Knowledge of telecommunication products and services.

Daily driving is expected. The Construction crew is exposed to varying climates and elements, determined by Mother Nature. Extreme heat, rain, dust, and wind are to be expected.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to sit and stand; talk or hear; reach with hands and arms; key/type.

The employee is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

The employee must lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The employee is required to drive a vehicle.
