Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in the performance of pharmacy duties, including medication dispensing, patient counseling, and inventory management.
  • Operate pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine is correct.
  • Assist with inventory management activities, such as ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Basic mathematics skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure.
  • Effective computer and keyboarding skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to operate equipment such as computers, scan guns, tablet counters, and cash registers.
  • Ability to remain functional in situations of stress.
  • Ability to remain flexible with scheduling for all operational hours.
  • Holds current State of Florida license to practice as a Registered Pharmacy Technician.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of continuing education credits as mandated by the Florida Board of Pharmacy.
  • Maintains knowledge and skill in healthcare and pharmacy, including the latest news and developments.
