We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As an MRI Tech, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of magnetic resonance imaging scans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests to ensure accurate and safe procedures.
- Screen patients for MRI safety and prepare them for imaging procedures.
- Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment to comply with government regulations.
- Assist radiologists with procedure performance and start I.V.s as needed.
- Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality and collate processed images for review.
- Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration.
- Follow safety procedures when working with radiation and maintain accurate patient records.
- Understand and utilize the McKesson PACS system for efficient image management.
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist.
- ARRT National certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging.
- State-specific licensing when required.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods, as well as bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
