We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Law Attorney to join our team. As a Family Law Attorney, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of family law matters, including matrimonial law, divorce, custody, mediation, child support, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, paternity, and marital agreements.
Responsibilities:- Represent clients in court proceedings or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in matrimonial and family law matters.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts related to family law matters.
- Negotiate settlements of civil disputes concerning matrimonial and family law.
- Conduct legal research and gather evidence on any relevant issues.
- Advise clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations in family law matters.
- Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
- Act as an agent, trustee, guardian, or executor for businesses or individuals.
- Mediate disputes and guide clients through the legal process of divorce, custody, child support, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, paternity, and marital agreements.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a top accredited law school.
- 3-7+ years of experience in family law with a strong background in matrimonial law, divorce, custody, mediation, child support, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, paternity, and marital agreements.
- A Member in Good Standing of the New York State Bar.
- Proven track record of representing clients in family law matters.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to mediate disputes effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
We offer a competitive salary range of $215,000 - $265,000 per year, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401K match, STD/LTD, life insurance, PTO, and bonuses.
