Position Type: Full-Time

Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week

Starting Wage: $16.50 per hour

Note: Training will occur at a nearby location until the new store is operational.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process customer transactions and maintain a clean shopping environment.
  • Stock shelves and arrange merchandise displays in an orderly fashion.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, assisting shoppers with their needs.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate with store management.
  • Provide management with feedback regarding products, inventory discrepancies, and other operational issues.
  • Participate in inventory counts and ensure accuracy in stock levels.
  • Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize losses.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, ensuring the security and confidentiality of information.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stock and organize merchandise, including lifting items up to 45 pounds.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the store.
  • Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service skills and a commitment to providing prompt assistance.
  • Proficient in operating a cash register accurately and efficiently.
  • Ability to safely use equipment such as electric/manual hand jacks and floor scrubbers.
  • Experience in performing cleaning tasks to meet company standards.
  • Ability to understand and apply company policies and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Meet any local and state requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in a retail setting is preferred.
  • A combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge.
