Job Summary

Rivers Electrical Services Llc is seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical installations for commercial and industrial applications, including cable termination up to 750 MCM, installing stress cones, cable trays, rigid conduit, and working with large-scale power systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cable Termination: Terminate cables up to 750 MCM with precision, install stress cones and perform high-voltage cable preparation.
  • Conduit and Cable Tray Installation: Install rigid conduit, EMT, and flexible conduit for electrical systems, design and install cable tray systems according to project specifications.
  • Trenching and Underground Work: Run and secure electrical wiring from equipment to trench, including underground conduit installations, ensure that trenching and backfilling adhere to safety and regulatory standards.
  • Power Distribution Equipment: Install, maintain, and troubleshoot transformers, switchgear, panel boards, and circuit breakers, work with medium- and high-voltage electrical systems.
  • Blueprint and Schematic Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics for accurate installations, coordinate with engineers and other team members to ensure project alignment.
Quality Control and Testing
  • Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and diagnostics on electrical systems to ensure proper functionality, ensure installations meet NEC, OSHA, and local electrical code standards.
  • Follow safety protocols and electrical codes at all times, maintain knowledge of current industry standards and regulations, use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure site safety.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in commercial/industrial electrical installations, with a focus on power distribution systems.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in terminating cables up to 750 MCM, knowledgeable in the installation of stress cones and medium/high-voltage cable systems, expertise in installing and bending rigid conduit and EMT.
  • Certifications: Licensed electrician (Journeyman or Master Electrician) with appropriate state certification.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA regulations, and local electrical codes.
