As the Director of Safety and Security at AdventHealth Central Florida, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients, visitors, and employees. This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in safety and risk management, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct regular drills and training exercises.
- Provide guidance and support to employees on safety protocols and procedures.
- Investigate and report on safety incidents and near-misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry partners to stay up-to-date on the latest safety and risk management best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety or risk management role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Professional certification in safety or a related field, such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP).
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
