Dental Hygiene Specialist

As a key member of the Syracuse Community Health team, the Dental Hygiene Specialist will provide exceptional oral hygiene care to patients. This role involves cleaning teeth and gums, communicating with patients about their oral health, and assisting dentists during procedures.
Responsibilities include:
* Providing comprehensive oral hygiene care to patients
* Communicating with patients about their oral health and providing dietary information
* Assisting dentists during procedures
* Participating in dental training and staying up-to-date with industry developments
Requirements:
* Graduation from a two-year Dental Hygiene program
* Current New York State license
* Current BLS and infection control certifications
Physical Demands:
* Ambulatory - 95%
* Sedentary - 5%
* Subject to stress and fatigue
* Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination
* Subject to repeated bending, squatting, and stooping
* Requires corrected vision and hearing within normal range
