Plasma Center Medical Support Specialist

As a Medical Support Specialist at BioLife Plasma Services, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of plasma donations. Your expertise will be essential in determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, and reviewing laboratory test results.
Key Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility through proper management of informed consent, medical history interview, and physical examination.
- Evaluate donor reactions and follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical or technical issues.
- Support employee vaccination programs and manage employee incidents.
- Contribute to pandemic response efforts as authorized by EHS and Medical Affairs.
- High school diploma or equivalent, including a graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program.
- Current licensure or certification as a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state where responsibilities will be assigned.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
- Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Satisfactorily complete FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
