About the Role

Baker Sterchi Cowden & Rice LLC, a leading litigation boutique, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our team. As a seasoned commercial litigator, you will be responsible for managing complex cases from inception to resolution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Case Management: Independently manage files throughout the litigation process, including fact investigations, document productions, and discovery tasks.
  • Fact Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations to gather evidence and build strong cases.
  • Document Review: Review and analyze policies, contracts, and other legal documents to identify key issues.
  • Court Preparation: Prepare witnesses for deposition, take and defend depositions, and prepare pleadings, briefs, and motions.
  • Trial Support: Provide trial team support, including direct and cross-examination of witnesses.
Requirements
  • At least five years of experience in commercial litigation.
  • Experience in insurance defense and insurance coverage preferred.
  • Licensed in Missouri and Kansas, with ideal candidates also licensed in Arkansas.
  • Ability to work independently on complex cases.
