Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Society for Neuroscience. The successful candidate will have a strong background in neurobiology and experience in mouse handling and modern neurobiology approaches.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our research on addictive and motivated behaviors, with a focus on circuits that converge on and modulate dopaminergic terminals. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement novel projects, leveraging intersectional approaches spanning from molecules to behavior.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead on a novel project and take the lead on developing and implementing research plans
  • Conduct experiments using mouse genetic, viral, optogenetic and photometric methods
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and execute studies

Requirements

  • PhD in neurobiology or a related field
  • Experience in mouse handling and modern neurobiology approaches (e.g. optogenetics, chemogenetics, photometry)
  • Strong track record of productivity and excellent communication skills

What We Offer
