Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Blue Sky Hospitality Solutions. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our properties by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubrication of equipment, to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Respond to guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner, communicating effectively with guests to resolve issues.
  • Identify and locate shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings, and operate them as needed.
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts and materials as required.
  • Communicate daily activities and any issues that arise to other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.
  • Display basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in categories such as air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry.
  • Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, and thorough cleanup of work areas.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repair on equipment, plumbing, electrical components, and other guestroom items.
  • Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
  • Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work.
  • Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping, as well as external landscaping sprinklers.
Requirements
  • Basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in categories such as air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment and tools.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or technical training preferred.
