About the Role:

HGH Hardware Supply is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail & Showroom Sales Specialist to join our team in Nashville, TN. As the face of our store, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, driving sales, and maintaining a positive store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers and direct them to the proper location in the store to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Thank customers by name, when possible, when they are leaving the store
  • Project a friendly, outgoing demeanor and work well with customers and associates
  • Research and resolve customer questions/problems in person and over the phone
  • Assist in processing orders for customers and enter data in the point-of-sales system
  • Perform register functions and use sales, promotion, and product knowledge to drive add-on sales
  • Handle cash/credit/credit card sales and returns of merchandise and follow all cash register transaction procedures
  • Call customers when special order merchandise is ready for pick up and protect and maintain company assets and resources
  • Answer and monitor all calls and pages promptly, courteously, and effectively
  • Communicate any problem or issue that requires management assistance with the Branch Manager

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • One (1) year experience in retail sales and customer service in a similar capacity
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, including Microsoft Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Eclipse distribution management software experience
  • Prior experience in the home improvement industry
  • Cabinetry experience
  • Kitchen/bath/closet hardware knowledge
  • Paint tinting experience
