Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs and abilities of students.
- Design and deliver engaging lesson plans that promote academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective educational program.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress.
- Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date with best practices.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) certification in Special Education (Pre-K-8).
- Experience working with students with diverse needs and abilities.
