Key Responsibilities:
- Address plumbing requirements for various commercial, retail, and light industrial facilities.
- Common tasks include: drain cleaning, water heater maintenance, leak detection and repair, pump servicing, and fixture installation and repair.
- Diagnose plumbing issues on-site.
- Conduct routine maintenance on plumbing systems.
- Install plumbing systems for commercial and light industrial applications.
- Interpret blueprints and layout piping systems.
- Install waste, vent, and water piping both underground and above ground.
- Install and repair plumbing fixtures.
- Install gas lines and air systems.
- Operate scissor lifts as needed.
- Review electronic work orders daily for scheduled tasks and required work scope.
- Document work completed and materials used in the work order system.
- Restock necessary inventory on assigned vehicles.
- Maintain a valid Illinois State Plumbing License.
- Complete state-mandated annual continuing education requirements.
Qualifications:
- Possession of an Illinois State Plumbing License.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in plumbing within commercial settings.
- Practical experience with plumbing tools and equipment.
- Familiarity with industrial and commercial plumbing standards.
- Experience with various piping materials and fittings.
- Knowledge of current plumbing regulations and codes.
- Strong leadership abilities.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including working in various weather conditions, operating lifts, lifting up to 50 lbs regularly and 100 lbs occasionally, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods.
